|
Ambermoon: 1/10 points |
Almost 10 years old... |
Arx Fatalis: 7/10 points |
A dungeon-based 3D RPG reminiscent of the Ultima Underworld Series. The game is good, but also has problems with controls and is too difficult. |
Baldur's Gate 2 - Shadows of Amn: 9/10 points |
A bit dated technology, but still: storyline, atmosphere and orginality make this a must-buy for all RPG-fans. |
Celtic Kings - Rage of War: 1/10 points |
Not up to todays standards in RTS-gaming |
Divine Divinity: 7/10 points |
Good storyline and original quests. The game becomes a bit repetetive after a while though. Earlier versions also had some major bugs (like corrupted saved games) |
Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: 10/10 points |
Great graphics and a great and atmospheric world. RPGing at its best! |
Gothic: 8/10 points |
Original thema and great graphics. The controls and difficulty make this a good game and not a great game... |
Gothic 2: 10/10 points |
Gothic 2 is the ultimate RPG! A very realistic world in which every of the 400 (!) NPC's has it's own complex scripting (they work during daytime, sit around the campfire to eat, talk to other NPC's, sleep, etc).
The fact that the world is totally seamless 3D world is also great (and no: it's not that pseudo seamlessness as in Dungeon Siege). |
Kingdom Under Fire: 1/10 points |
Outdated RTS... |
Planescape: Torment: 4/10 points |
Dated technology, but a great storyline and lots of NPC's |
Quest for Glory 1 - So You Want to be a Hero?: 1/10 points |
At the time a great game, but the technology is too dated now. It probably won't run on modern computers. |
Sacrifice: 1/10 points |
A boring RTS / action game |
System Shock 2: 4/10 points |
At the time a sleeper-hit. Technology very much dated now. |
Wasteland: 1/10 points |
At the time maybe a good game, but not today... |
Wizardry 7 - Crusader of the Dark Savant: 1/10 points |
An RPG that is very popular in the US, but never had the same popularity in Europe.
Dated technology, random encounters and boring. Nuff said |
