The czech Inquisitor interview we reported about a few days ago has been translated into English by our friend Ben on Dungeony.cz. Inquisitor is an isometric RPG and has this story line:
Could you at least outline the main game storyline? If it is possible, could you specify differences in storyline for the priest, the paladin, the thief and the storyline for multiplayer? Story and dialogues belong to main advantages of the game, were you inspired by some game with interesting story (like Planescape Torment)? Do you suppose with some other introduction of your world and story, e.g. in some novella, which would be added into box with the game?
Crom: Basic storyline of Inquisitor will centre around heretical conspiracy, into which will be player embroiled in the beginning of the game and he will have to find, who stands behind all the horrible crimes and what is his goal - because that's his only chance to save his own life. This storyline will be same for all three characters and for multiplayer and will be set into the same background of the ancient kingdom of Ultherst, which is on the edge of total chaos and hellish forces of evil begin to gather around it. Whole story will have strong liturgical undertone too, because situation of kingdom Ultherst is too similar to the beginning of Armageddon, as it is described in Holy Bible, to think that it is just coincidence. And this is too one of mysteries, which will the player have to solve on his wretched voyage and will have to find, how is it in fact.
