Califa from The Core has let us know that they have put up an interview with Peter Tyson, Community Liaison Manager at Codemasters who are heavily working on their first fantasy MMORPG 'Dragon Empires'.EGCore: It has been stated that the PvP system will be optional and players can choose to never participate in it. Can you explain how that will work?
Peter Tyson: Players can chose to take on a PvP role at any time. The roles are specific to each empire so as you cross a border you switch back to whatever you were last in that empire. You can be an outlaw, bounty hunter or a contract trader. Outlaws gather important resources from the venerated beasts of each empire. These are special creatures that the local dragon wants to protect. Bounty hunters try and stop the outlaws and contract traders move goods between cities for experience as well as a gold reward. The contract traders can also be targeted by bounty hunters who may try to steal their goods. |
