Ulla Wenderoth from Fishtank Interactive informed us about the first Etherlords Tournament. Here's their press release:

Fishtank Interactive announces first official Etherlords tournament

Munich –December 14, 2001 –Fishtank Interactive and game developer Nival Interactive announced that registration for the first official Etherlords tournament is now open. Six judges from the international Etherlords gaming community will mediate the play-offs on the GameSpy servers. Unanimously praised as a dramatic break-through in computer based card gaming, Etherlords is quickly developing a dedicated following of fans who have been drawn into the excitement and challenge of competitive play.
The Etherlords development process has thrived on the input of fans from early beta through release.
