Even before the last expansion - Shadowlands - was launched last year Funcom had hinted that they had a further expansion planned that would offer more social content and player built structures. Initially under the working title 'Towns of Rubi-Ka' many players were looking forward to hearing more, but no-one was quite prepared for what was finally revealed in February this year. Rubi-Ka was going to be invaded! We are still going to get all the social goodies and player built cities (more on those later!) but Funcom being Funcom they had decided to put a spin on the new cities, as well as building them we would have to defend them against hordes of invading aliens! Alien Invasion was coming!
