The latest Horizons Dev Journal at RPGVault is written by Creative Director David Bowman and talks about the grouping system in this upcoming MMORPG:
Any player can form a Group simply by clicking on the Create Group button in the interface. (Of course, if they are already a member of a Group, they will be asked if they wish to leave their current Group before creating a new one.) The player that creates the Group becomes the Group leader. The Group leader has the ability to:
Leave Group (Which results in the second member of the Group becoming the Group leader.)
    Set New Leader (Hopefully self-explanatory.)
Disband Member (Sometimes it is just necessary.)
Set Mission Statement (The mission statement is a text string that is used to advertise your Group's goal.)
Set Group Name (This is defaulted to the name of the player that created the Group, but it can be changed.)
Set Group Preferences (Does the Group allow anyone to join? Is the Group closed to new members? Can all members invite new members?)
    Invite New Member (Also self-explanatory.)
