The RPG that I'd most like to see remade with modern technology (but 2D graphics, please, not 3D)

IonHunter has rated 5/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from IonHunter)

This one was ok I guess, I wouldn't give it too high of a rating though. There where some better ones I think right around same time. :) Did have some nifty features though.

Khathis R. Luciarri has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Khathis R. Luciarri)

It's a hard bet to make between all those games. It's between Darklands and MM2. Overall, I think darklands has to push forward because it was the game that got me into crpgs with an isometric view.

Lintra has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Lintra)

Great system, large believable world...what more do you want?

Maggot has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Maggot)

Great game! Huge world to explore, and heaps of activities you could do. I wish we'd see it remade some day.

olaf has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from olaf)

The game bit off far more than it could chew, but what a design. The way they integrated the fantasy into medieval history was AWESOME. The manual rocked, the game rocked. Pausable RT combat years before the BG games. We need a sequel.

Brassi has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Brassi)

In my top five favorite games. Most realistic RPG I ever played. Character creation is an art form for this game. There is no ending (which I kind of like in games) but you dont even really notice. Wish there was a head badguy to beat though. Still fun to play even today.

A-Train has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from A-Train)

This game was an eye-opener, in terms of graphics and style. The world was intriguing, a mix of enticing folk myth and history....

Prometheus has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Prometheus)

Played better, seen worse. I just didn't care for the game myself...hence the low score.

Yog Sothoth has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Yog Sothoth)

I never get bored of it... HUGE

I love this game.

Kestryn has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Kestryn)

I still miss the feelings generated by playing this game... The music was fabulous, the watercolor art was beautiful, and the overall mood brought us into a world that was unknown. A great creation.

Aleksandar has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Aleksandar)

RiverRat has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from RiverRat)

As I've said before, I love open-ended games. THE BEST character generation system than any other game, period. I probably spent hours creating, recreating, and tweaking characters until I had four I was satisfied with.

ButtOfMalmsey has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from ButtOfMalmsey)

Between this and Fallout, my heart is torn. Both are non-linear, but this one is not at all driven in any way by anything. Not character, not plot. You can literally do whatever you want. Are you evil? Be evil. Are you good? Be good. Be famous or infamous. Progress through an entire century of European history. Watch characters age, die or retire, and get replaced.

Solamon77 has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Solamon77)

Damn is THIS game an original. I still enjoy playing this game now... 10 years after it's release. I absolutely LOVE the character creation of this game.

Ubik has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Ubik)

A fantastic RPG game that where you really were free to do what you want!

garrett has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from garrett)

took me some time to get used to the game, but after some time, it kept me sucking in deeper and deeper. ugly grafx though, never liked the aquarellesque style

Shyguy has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Shyguy)

I must be missing somthing here. This was an overly ambitious mess that I just could not get into. And I've actually enjoyed a few ambitious messes (Daggerfall, Ultima Ascension). The graphics were bad, it was full of bugs, and was a complete waste of time. Too bad.

Sembiance has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Sembiance)

I really didn't enjoy this game much. I felt it didn't come close to accomplishing what it set out to be. Maybe if it had a few less bugs, or if those were not bugs, then it could have been designed a bit better.

mike has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from mike)

Brilliant game for that time, sorry that I can't get my hands anymore on the game, will there ever by a number II

Ronaldo has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Ronaldo)

Totally stragne game...some nice ideas in it, but it didn't work in the final version

xeno has rated 6/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from xeno)

great setting, bad implementation

Daryl has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Daryl)

A near-forgotten gem. Great open-ended gameplay. Unfortunately, lots of bugs. This is one of the old school CRPGs with the most potential for a modern remake.

KIA has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from KIA)

Best RPG of all time with authentic time systems, money systems, apprenticeships, actual combat tactics, magic, alchemy, skills, cities, and plenty more. Can't say enough good things about the game. It was WAY ahead of its time!

Matt has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Matt)

I would rate this a 10, but there were several bugs in it, other than that, it's the best game i've ever played. I wish they would come out with a sequel or a remake.

DarkRealms has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from DarkRealms)

One of the most original RPG games ever! And I mean that in a good way. Too bad none of the sequels that were scheduled actually got produced...

Leopold has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Leopold)

A game in a different setting, alas, in an industry where different is bad. I've stayed up way too late playing many CRPG's, but this is the only one where I stayed up way too late just making new characters!

Scar has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Scar)

Bugginess is the only thing to keep this game from a 10. Great game, one of the best. I agree with many of the others, a remake would be welcome.

Stave-tor has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Stave-tor)

Huge, non-linear world you could explore for weeks, great character creation, novel magic system (combintation of medieval alchemy and praying to saints). Unfortunately released with a ton of bugs, but they were eventually patched. If you can find the final patched version (7.something, I think), do yourself a favor and try it. A solid contender for the "most worthy of a modern remake" award.

Carlos has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Carlos)

One of the best RPG ever done. You can go around, explore and define your own goals...

Quarth has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Quarth)

One asks oneself, can people actually make a better game than this?

Mons has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Mons)

I played it for many years, developing many different characters. So realistic. I'd like a seuqel/remake with modern technologies and more countries (France and Italy above all others). New countries could be added as expansion with specific plots.

Mike has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Mike)

Top 5 of all RPGs evar. I've got it on 5 1/4 disks somewhere. Need to download it anyone know where it is?

Kirati Laisathit has rated 10/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Kirati Laisathit)

One of the most controversial RPG of its time. People tend to either like it a lot or hate it. Not much of a back story, aside from three connected dungeon romps. But everything about the game simple exudes class, if the bugs hadn't got in the way. It's rated 10 simply because it is a singular effort that shows how imagination works wonder in putting RPG down in a setting where you wouldn't think it possible, medieval Germany.

Great game, one of my favourite RPGs of all times, most original character creation, realistic historical setting with some fantasy flavor (witches, demons...) - alchemy and prayers to saints instead of magic, etc... Great fame flawed by bugs... i rate it 9/10 - but because some idiot voted 5 times giving 1/10 each time - ill give 10/10 to balance this a bit.

This RPG was probably the one I had most fun with during my lifetime. Very original (the character creation system is still unrivaled today)!

Easily one of my favorite RPG's of all time. This is probably the game I would credit with truely engrossing me into the genre. Sure I had played other RPGs before, but nothing like this. The character creation was magnificent, the in game art was beautiful and the overall feel of the entire experience was extremely memorable. If only someone would give this game the modern era "beautification" it deserves.
