JustRPG offers a preview of Dragon Empires. They were especially impressed b the graphics engine:
Breathtaking and simply magical is not nearly enough to describe the power of the engine used in Dragon Empires. It is a very complex and finely crafted engine that can display stunning detail. It is one of the most beautiful games that I have had the pleasure of viewing. The detail is everywhere, in the many landscapes that dot the world, in the character and monster models, and in the effects used to display weather. Dragon Empires takes place in the world of Fortitude and it is indeed one that will welcome you with its spectacular scenery. As proof of their commitment to its community Codemasters recently released a video titled ‘skyscape’ that highlights the weather and sky effects within the world. As I sat there, I was left speechless by the combined use of music and visuals to demonstrate the creativity that the artists and musicians of Dragon Empires have created. Within this video one is able to view clouds move so realistically and naturally within the sky as rain falls gently down upon the terrain and as day turns to night or night into day. |
