Ascaron's upcoming action-RPG, Sacred, has been previewed at EDBIS. The article refers to Sacred's release as "next year", so presumably it's been in the works for a little while:
Gamers may choose to play as one of six different heroes: the gladiator, battlemage, dark elf, wood elf, seraphim, and vampiress. Each character can use many special skills and/or spells to vanquish the many foes he or she will face. The Gladiator is a weapon expert, strong enough to throw his enemies. On the other hand, the Wood Elf is one with nature as a huntress who prefers to fight from a distance; she can possess an animal’s body to scout areas. Battlemages prefer to avoid close combat, relying on such spells as acid and fireball, but if things get too close he can stymie the opposition by turning into water. The Dark Elf likes to hide in the shadows to sneak up behind his enemies silently, though he’s not afraid to mix potions to cause explosions. The Seraphim and Vampiress are both supernatural characters; the former gets her power from the angels, the latter from blood. While the seraphim uses her strength and defensive prowess to win, the vampiress uses her speed and ability to teleport.
