The Face of Mankind Chronicles have been updated with a new entry, telling you the background story of the game for the years 2156-2185:
2156 - Foundation of the C.M.G.
Following the great achievements of the last decades, the GD government decided to consolidate all of the departments for space colonization into one central organization, and so the C.M.G. was born. It was the sole task of the C.M.G. to colonize the universe for economic growth. The C.M.G. was authorised to plan and schedule all actions and operations and this gave it, therefore, enormous political power.
With this power came a lot of condemnation - that "C.M.G. wielded to much power" - but an impressive speech by the new president of the C.M.G., Silas Choudhury convinced the majority of their critics.
"It is space that has always been hidden within the deepest depths of our heart and there it will stay for all of time. The exploration of space is the only means by which mankind can become immortal. Let us take this chance now."
With an almost wistful last phrase he recalled the good old times of the 20th century, when young people, primarily, were inspired to dream by science-fiction movies.
"Space, the final frontier... the infinity of space that once lay before us, is now ours to explore."
