Once again, Wizardry 8 has received a favorable review, this time at GamePen. While there is no rating for this game, the summary says it all:

Overall, even though I’m nowhere near finishing this huge game (I’ve played at least 30-40 hours of heavy exploration and combat, and that seems to merely be the tip of the iceberg), I’ve enjoyed every second of it. It’s a darned shame that this will be, most likely, the last Wizardry game we’ll see, at least from Sir-Tech. Hopefully the series will continue, but if this is the last game in the series, it’s a very fitting end to a classic series.

Wizardry 8 is one of the best CPRG’s this reviewer has played in years, and I plan to continue playing it long after these words have been published. The lure of going through the game with different combinations of parties and characters is all too appealing, and the game has enough freedom to keep you coming back. In closing, this is a fantastic game no CRPG fan should be without.
Correction: Our reader Incindium made up for my stupidity and found the rating: a perfect 5/5 stars :-)
