Not only have NCSoft overhauled the look of the official Auto Assault website, but they've added a fair bit of new content as well.
First up is the announcement of the Auto Assault Happy Hour.W00t Radio has been participating in a series of teleconferences with Scott "Scorch" Brown and Ryan "Samurai Penguin" Seabury from NetDevil, as well as Community Coordinator Valerie "Pann" Massey, called The Auto Assault Happy Hour, where they discuss all facets of the game and answer various questions.
The entire teleconference is online in mp3 format at the W00t Radio website for your listening pleasure. Next up is Volume 1 of Transmissions From the Wasteland. We're returning to beta testers in the month of December - for three weeks we'll have a new set of impressions, diary entries, and screen shots of the hot new Auto Assault beta and what the testers currently think.
Here's are some Biomek impressions from "Rooster":
What makes this game great? :smirk: trash. Yes, trash; burning trash at that. The sky filled with red hot embers of burning debris… burning so hard that the sky is choked with it, covering the land in a swirling fog of red and black. Bright sparks dance around with scraps of paper and paint caught in the vortex created by the heat… and that was just the first few moments of the Biomek training grounds… Last, but not least, is "Home on the Back Range".IGN has published the first of three fictionalized walkthroughs based in each of the new Auto Assault starter regions. The first is called "Home on the Back Range", covering the Human area called the Hestia Back Range.
Here's an excerpt from the story:
Bracken then pointed to the basin west of Ascent Station. "This is the Drone Range, where we do a lot of weapons testing. Holographic infantry and drones provide the active targets. The big craters you see -- the ones with the targets in them -- are where we do calibration for the orbital ion cannon shots. Don't worry if you get caught up in one, your shielding will protect you." | Source: Auto Assault |
