AllOutGames has reviewed the Disciples 2 expansion, Guardians of the Light. They were reasonably pleased with it and awarded a score of 78%. Here's a snippet:
Guardians and Servants leave the Disciples II gameplay completely unchanged, which is both good and bad. The original game is a classic and is still a great deal of fun to play, but expansion packs are generally supposed to bring in some new flavor. Sadly, there isn't anything new or different about the formula for these packs. If you didn't like it before (heathen!), nothing here will change your mind anytime soon. On the bright side, most players, especially new ones, won't care in the least bit about any of this because the standard gameplay has shown surprising longevity throughout the years. Unless you've played the game to the point where you can't stand to look at it any longer, expect to enjoy seeing what the new mini-campaigns have to offer.
