|
Arcatera: The Dark Brotherhood: 2/10 points |
I hate it when a game tells me that it has to be finished in XX days... |
Arx Fatalis: 9/10 points |
Great game, lots of fun, good atmosphere. Once you get used to the controls, they are great, too. If you liked Ultima Underwold, you'll love this one. |
Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance: 7/10 points |
Nice chop chop chop - but nothing more, really. Good for some fast paced fun for a short time. |
Baldur's Gate 2 - Shadows of Amn: 10/10 points |
Epic, enjoyable - it was a great experience. |
Blade of Darkness: 8/10 points |
I liked the atmosphere - and it was hard, at least for me. Now if they only had put some RPG elements into it... |
Crusaders of Might & Magic: 2/10 points |
Boooooooooooooooring. Running for ages, dull story, not worth the money. |
Darkstone: 8/10 points |
For no obvious reason I fell in love with this one when it came out. Low fat dungeon crawl... |
Demise: Rise of the Ku'tan : 7/10 points |
It had me glued to the computer, but I really don't know why :-) |
Diablo: 8/10 points |
At the time, it was the most addictive game. Brought a lot of people to RPGs, although it wass only a RPG light. I enjoyed it nevertheless... |
Disciples 1 - Sacred Lands: 9/10 points |
For no explainable reason, I like this better than the Heroes of Might & Magic series. Nice gameplay, nice atmosphere. |
Divine Divinity: 9/10 points |
This one is fun. Big fun, really. It starts out like Diablo 2 with dialogue and quests, and after three or four hours into the game you suddenly know that you have a full-blown RPG with so many quests and so much depth before you. Great game, and I highly recommend it. |
Drakan: 8/10 points |
I liked it, but no, it wasn't a RPG :-) |
Dungeon Master: 9/10 points |
Caused lack of sleep and some false sick days when it was released. I HAD to beat it :-) |
Dungeon Siege: 8/10 points |
Fun the first time through, but no replay value other than hoping for nice siegelets.. |
Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: 10/10 points |
For me, a milestone. Simply the best RPG so far, and a sure candidate for Game of the Year. |
Elder Scrolls Adventure - Redguard: 8/10 points |
Nice surprise. Now looks like a first sketch of Morrowind. Nice adventure, no RPG. |
Fable: The Lost Chapters: 8/10 points |
The beauty of this game only comes to those not rushing through it. Granted, there are more complex CRPGs, but this one is a fun one and a nice break. |
Hexplore: 4/10 points |
Uninspired, dull game. Ugly graphics, bland story. Yeah, you are right, I didn't like it :-) |
Might & Magic 9: 7/10 points |
Nice game, but you feel it is quite unfinished and unpolished. |
Neverwinter Nights: 8/10 points |
Nice one, although I expected a little more. Basically, I am a little bit annoyed with the camera, the unstable toolset and the poor graphics in the inventory. Gameplay, however, is very nice. A Baldur's Gate in 3D - entertaining, but not groundbreaking as expected |
Planescape: Torment: 8/10 points |
I know you will bash me, but I didn't find it too extraordinaire. It was fun, but I wasn't enthusiastic |
Sea Dogs: 7/10 points |
It would get a higher rating for me - but the steep learning curve for the sea battles made it frustrating sometimes... |
System Shock 2: 6/10 points |
I have to admit it was way to hard for me. I can't remember any other game that had me die so often. |
Wizards & Warriors - Quest for the Mavin Sword: 7/10 points |
In some ways it was pathetic, in some ways it was quite some fun. But Wizardry 8 blows it away in nearly every possible way. |
