IGN PC has posted a preview of Bethesda's Morrowind, the third part in the Elder Scrolls Saga:

To keep things a little more manageable and unique, the size of the Morrowind world has been cut down quite a bit. Don't let this upset you however because there is still a lot of game world with tons of little towns and big cities. Each of these cities and towns will have distinct set ups and feels in many cases based on the race that owns the city. For example, one of the most impressive bits that I saw in the demo was one of the strange buildings that the Telvanni (one of the ten playable races in the game) grow from mushrooms. Yes the Telvanni are magical creatures and they have done some wondrous things with their mushrooms. The style here is so much different from the imperial stone castle style that you won't wonder for an instant where you are in the world.
