Fortunately, developer Nival Interactive and publisher Encore are looking to fill that gap with the upcoming release of S2 - Silent Storm. Unlike Eidos' highly anticipated Commandos 3 (which it will no doubt be compared to), S2 is pure turn-based squad level strategy all the way. Indeed, if I had to compare it to a specific game, the one that comes immediately to mind is X-Com or, more recently, Jagged Alliance.
