The Xbox version of Pirates of the Caribbean has been reviewed at Gaming Central. It received a strong score of 8/10 and here's a sample:
As far as game play goes, Pirates Of The Caribbean appears to be fairly solid. Controls are difficult at first, and may get tiring, however with some practice and a lot of patience, you will be able to master them as well as any pirate. Poor load transitions is the only real downfall to the game. Every other time you approach a new character, a new vendor or take the next step in the tutorial, the game stutters for a second or two. However, as the game progresses you will notice this less and less. As far as the storlyline goes, I really enjoyed it in Pirates Of The Caribbean, mostly because there is no real story that you are required to follow. The story really unfolds as you play, based on the decisions and missions you decide to accept, or decline. The main problem is the game is so involved that you will need to have a lot of patience while playing. Not to mention you will have to like being a pirate.
