Job listings pages for game developers have become newsworthy. Ensemble Studios, makers of Age of Empires III (and its two predecessors) is apparently hiring for an MMO.

The site's mainpage displays a list of jobs that include: World Designer, XBox Live Developer, Senior MMO Environment Artist, MMO Environmental Conceptual Artist and Producer. Whatever the Ensemble Studios team is up to, they seem to be building an entire team around it.

Keep in mind, Producer Patrick Hudson's remarks to Next Generation a few weeks ago: "It's safe to say we won't be chasing the fantasy genre," he says. "It seems like there are so many coming out. [We're] still pretty far out from even thinking of taking that prototype to a greenlight phase."

Whatever Ensemble Studios is working on, it doesn't sound like it will be entrenched in fantasy like a ton of existing MMOs - so then what is it? Hopefully, they'll come clean at E3.
