E3 2004 BoothBabes' DVD Review @ HomeLANfed

File this away in the "Someone had to do it eventually" file folder...though not exactly earthshattering RPG news - the "Booth Babes" are a quintessential part of every E3 thus far...and HomeLANfed's John Callaham takes on the daunting task of reviewing the commercial DVD released by E3Girls.com featuring (you guessed it) the "Booth Babes" of E3 2004...

Let’s face it; if you like looking at booth babes (and judging by the response we get every year from our own modest E3 booth babe photo galleries, there are a lot of you) you will most likely want this disk, and we are glad to have it, but the truth is that this DVD is a very amateur production, from the cheap looking DVD cover to the menus to footage itself, which is frankly about on the scale with a decent home movie. There is a lot of zooming in and out which is distracting and the folks who made the movie didn’t have their own light source which means a lot of the footage is very dark. The biggest problem with the disk is the price. We got ours for the pre-order price of $19.99 but now it will cost you $23.95. Admittedly, this is the type of footage that is a minor bit on the E3 Access disk and will likely won’t be featured much on the GameSpot E3 DVD disk (we have that shipping to us soon) but it could have been a lot better if the production was even a little better and the price was lower.

Incidentally - he rated the E3 Booth Babes DVD with a 78 out of 100 - seriously!!
