Mythic/GOA have announced a digital distribution model for 'Dark Age of Camelot' in Euroland...
DARK AGE OF CAMELOT EVEN MORE ACCESSIBLE THANKS TO ONLINE LICENCES

Online licences simplify the purchase or upgrade of Dark Age games

Following the success of the release of Catacombs, Dark Age of Camelot's third retail expansion, the game is still way ahead of the rest of the field in massively multiplayer roleplaying games. A few weeks after the forthcoming expansion, Dark Age of Camelot: Darkness Rising, was presented at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, USA, GOA has launched a new online promotion campaign. The goal of this campaign is to introduce the game and the simple ways of acquiring or updating it thanks to online licences, which enable gamers to download the game and activate an account in just a few clicks.

It has been more than three years since Dark Age of Camelot first revolutionised the world of massively multiplayer roleplaying games, especially with its unique "Realm versus Realm" (RvR) concept and the inspiration it takes from history and legends. It is also the only MMORPG ('Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game') available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. In a medieval universe, players are the defenders of their Realm and must explore unknown territories full of dark creatures or confront the other Realms in epic sieges against powerful fortifications.

After the release of Catacombs, the latest expansion which brought graphical and gameplay improvements sparking renewed enthusiasm amongst both players and critics, GOA is launching a campaign to introduce the game to a broader public and invite former players who have not yet had the opportunity to explore the catacombs.

With new trailers, a new tutorial specially designed for newcomers and numerous added enhancements linked to version 1.75, the game is more comprehensive and accessible than ever before. The towns of the game, including the capitals, have been remodelled and new RvR missions have been added.

Online downloading offers supplement this initiative. Indeed they allow each and everyone to play without having to wait or even move away from the keyboard.

In a few clicks, it is now possible to discover, buy and download the complete game, subscribe or even purchase different game expansions in a simple way, directly from your PC:

For new players - Creating an account:
  • The 'Discovery' offer: 'Dark Age of Camelot' + 'Shrouded Isles' + 'Trials of Atlantis' and a 14 days free trial for €19.95.
