Pregaming has written a review of Arx Fatalis, and they rated the game 8/10. How much they liked it is visible in their summary:
Arx Fatalis is an impressive game; it is well detailed, interesting and fun. The first time you cook a raw fish or bake bread, you’ll realize that this is what many games are missing. This level of interactivity is a pretty uncommon feature in RPG’s. Seldom in most games are you given just the raw ingredients. The game is also a sufficient challenge, seeing as you start from nothing and work your way up from there. Arx Fatalis is a great game for RPGer’s, even if it is a little confusing in the beginning.
