TeamXbox has posted a review of EA's 'Lord of the Rings: The Third Age'. Rating: 8.4/10.
Even though many males my age would not admit it, we’ve all dabbled in the geekdom known as Dungeons & Dragons. While playing D&D is primarily thought of as a group of pimple-faced teenagers eating Cheetos with their Monster Manuals in-hand, its affects have reached far wider than many like to believe. I went through spurts where picking up a new set of Dragon Dice and a new campaign was all I could think about, then the next week I’d replace the lands of elves, wizards, and monsters with flag football, BMX, or whatever else was “hot” at the time. While I did enjoy my early RPG days, it couldn’t hold a candle to sitting down with J.R.R. Tolkien’s masterpiece trilogy, The Lord of the Rings. Even though I was just reading a book it seemed to make me feel part of the conflict far more than any game.
