The second part of RPG Vault's interview with Marketing Manager Barry Hoffman and Community Manager Corwynn Maelstrom is now up. Here's a taste:Jonric: What are you trying to accomplish with the enemy AI, and how will it affect the players' experience in combat?
Barry and Corwyn: Nukers aren't going to be able to work our system by pacing their damage per second to just under the aggro threshold. Tanks won't have the famous distract / enrage / pull aggro skills. No more fishing for single pulls from a group. When you attack one member or a group, the whole group will descend on your party.
As well, the more intelligent the opponent, the more likely they are going to target your most powerful / vulnerable party member and not get distracted until they're dead. |
