The Witcher is an action-oriented RPG in progress at CD Projekt. The title refers to the profession the main character, Geralt of Rivia, sometimes known as The White Wolf. He is a slayer of monsters, the most famous practitioner of his deadly craft, a warrior chosen while still a child, then subjected to meticulous training plus mysterious mutations and trials that transformed him into an unequaled master of the sword and a skilled magic user. The game being based on a best-selling dark fantasy literary property created by author Andrzej Sapkowski, it's no surprise the team is promising a strong story component with unexpected twists and turns. One thing we hadn't anticipated was the chance to update ourselves before this week's E3 trade show, so when an opportunity arose to do so with Project Director Michal Kicinski, we grabbed it.
