RPGvault features a preview of Sierra's/Troika's upcoming tech/fantasy RPG hybrid Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura.

Here's a snip from the intro:

Every year, a few computer games are released that beat long odds to become sleeper hits. Typically, they are titles that have received relatively little publicity build-up during their development periods, leading to comparatively low levels of awareness and modest expectations. Accordingly, when one of them turns out to be a quality effort that far exceeds what was anticipated, it takes both gamers and the media by surprise. Possibly the quintessential example of a sleeper during the past few years is Fallout. Released in 1997, it was a fairly unheralded RPG - and a non-fantasy one as well - at a time when the genre's popularity was still at a low ebb. Despite this rather inauspicious timing, the game received great acclaim, becoming the consensus RPG of the Year.
