Darkfall Warcry has posted a Developer Diary entitled "The Inspiration". Here's the introduction:
The inspiration for creating a lost civilization, such as the Chaldeans, came from watching the 'making of -' material on the Fellowship of the Ring DVD. As you know, the locations in that movie were rich in crumbling ruins and statuary, and it was all beautifully done.
