HomeLAN has put up a preview of 'Lords of EverQuest'.
Reportedly set 10,000 years before the timeline of the Everquest MMORPG game, Lords of Everquest has three playable single player campaigns, one for each of the playable factions (The Elddar Alliance, the Shadowrealm and the Dawn Brotherhood). Each of these sides has five playable Lords (the sort of equivalent to Warcraft III’s heroes) which have their own special abilities and you have the choice of selecting which Lord you want to use (including a froglok Lord). The user interface tells you if playing a particular Lord will be Easy, Medium or Hard which adds replay value to a game that could have easily taken the typical RTS route. Each of the factions has their own unique units from the Eldder Alliance’s Deadshot Archer to the Shadowrealm’s sneaking Trickster unit to the Dawn Brotherhood’s BlackBlade assassins.
