InGaming has conducted a Lionheart interview with Reflexive's Ion Hardie, Lead Designer and Co-Producer for Lionheart. Here's a bit from that article:
InGaming : To outsiders, RPGs tend to seem unapproachable, especially to those with no prior knowledge of D&D rules or any other games similar to them. Besides the SPECIAL system, what features will you be implementing to try to bring RPGs to a wider audience?

Ion Hardie : The SPECIAL rules system is very cool because it is classless and really allows the player to decide what is important to them in a character. Allocating skills to a character is a pretty easy task, even for someone who isn’t a dedicated RPG player…you get points, you distribute them wherever you want. However, I do want to point out that Lionheart is a full-fledged RPG, replete with fighting, NPC management, companion interactions, dialog choices and game decisions. We are not aiming for the gamer that has no idea how to use a mouse AND a keyboard sometimes. It’s an RPG…with all that comes with that categorization.
As for making it easily playable and accessible to newcomers or "non-RPGers": we don't force you to make a character, you can just pick one; you can minimize the amount of dialogue you choose to participate in by simply not taking part in much of it; there is plenty of action in the form of combat, and the interface is simple to use.
The interview is a very detailed one, so head over and have a look if you are interested in this upcoming RPG.
