Playing is like trying to get into the popular clique in high school. The owner and staff are willing to pick and choose who they want in the game, and some players even end up having their accounts closed without warning. When the game was free and being run out of the owner's house this might have been okay, but paid subscribers are signing up on the assumption that Socio is run like a business, and it's not. There's now a general recognition that the game isn't working, and there is non-stop fighting over which players are to blame. It would be safer to invest one's time in a game that is run by a stable company.
