IGN.PC has posted a preview of Atriarch, a 3-D, massively-multiplayer, online, persistent game depicting life on the alien and organic world of Atriana. Here's a bit from that preview:
When asked why World Fusion opted to go with such a setting, Serafina explained that "we really wanted to do something different, but not so different that people couldn't relate." This philosophy is easy to see in all the elements of the game. Sure, it's an organic world, but buildings look like buildings and you can make an educated guess that any sharp, pointy looking things will indeed hurt a bit if they happen to ram into your skin. That 100-foot tall creature you've been following will most likely be tough to kill, even if it looks like a big hibiscus. As alien as Atriana may look, it's not hard to understand the basics of what is what once you're in the world. |
