Looks like the folks at Square are selling the FFXI beta out to Stratics, Fileplanet, the Vault Network and Gamespot as those sites offer free beta spots for their subscribers. Only people from the USA and Canada can take part in the Public Giveaways and you have to be a paying subscriber at the particular site. Applications will be accepted from Monday June 23, 2003 until 11:59 PM (EST) on Wednesday June 25, 2003. Paying for beta tests... always thought that was a bad idea. But don't hesitate to try your luck, if you're interested. :)
