To explore the interesting and sometimes contentious questions, issues and differences of opinion that can and do accompany this diversity, we created a series of Online Worlds Roundtables in which we ask game makers and occasionally other individuals associated with them to share their respective knowledge and points of view. The composition of the panel is not the same from one session to the next as we attempt to solicit input from as broad a range of sources as possible, and from people particularly close to each subject. As for topics, the idea is to address a different one each time. For our eleventh such feature, we extended invitations to a number of our friends and acquaintances in the development community to talk about the huge and swiftly expanding Far Eastern market, a discussion that begins with these four statements.
