More from the IWD2 forums:Darren MonahanPortraits
Here's what the portraits look like:

Damien Foletto (Puuk)All fighter party
This used to work with the 2nd E rules. However, I was watching a QA guy go through an area in IWD2 with 5 fighters, pretty much wiping out everything in their path - until they reached 4 spell casters and their melee buddies. During the course of the battle, 2 fighters were charmed, 1 was feared, and the other two were held. They didn't last long after that. 3E rules have taken care of the all fighter party pretty well.
It also depends how the designer sets up the battle. Thankfully, we took the time to implement tactics on the NPC's side to make battles interesting. Some battles you'll still be able to muscle through, some will take some real planning and forethought.

Here's what the Interplay CE has for $59.99:
Spiral bound manual
Full color cloth map
Four (4) high quality character cards
Bonus disc
Ice Dice
Black Isle Studios notepad
Icewind Dale and Black Isle Studios stickers
Here's what EBgames.com gives you for $49.99:
Pre-order Icewind Dale II and get a free copy of the Icewind Dale II Adventure Pack, which includes a bonus gameplay CD, limited edition character trading cards and an exclusive Icewind Dale II poster with creature list. Available while supplies last.
And Gamestop just gives you a bonus CD for $49.99
My questions:
What's in the bonus CDs for each one?
Are the bonus CDs for all three the same?
Why doesn't the Interplay CE have the monster chart?
Doug replies
I believe that pre-ordering the game from either of these places gets you the monster poster, the collectable cards and the bonus CD. The Collector's Edition currently includes what is listed on the site as well as the same bonus CD. We are trying to include more music tracks on our version to make it even better, though, and to include the monster poster. We're just waiting on some of the music to get back to us from the audio department. I will post again when everything is nailed down to let you guys know for sure.
