Several updates are available at the EQ site - Kytherea's Keepsakes, Halfling Hodgepodge, and a new Halfling Hodgepodge Insider. The latest Hodgepodge Insider has an interview with Designer Carly Towne:
Did you need to have any specific education in the gaming industry to get where you are today?
That's kind of a complicated question. I didn't have any formal schooling directly relating to my current job, however I had spent a great deal of time playing games and developing characters and ideas on my own, which has helped immensely.
What does a typical day's work consist of for you?
Another complicated question! It really depends on what point of the development cycle we are in. A typical day starts with bolting to the coffee pot, checking email and the boards, then whatever tasks I have lined up for the day. That can be anything from writing zone documents or lore, populating a zone, implementing quests, scripting an encounter, fixing bugs or some combination thereof. It's rare to have a simple day. =)
