Stratics has an interview with 'Teos' about 'Middle Earth Online'. Here's an excerpt:
What was the first MMOG/MMORPG you have played? Why did you start playing this game? Do you still play this game today?

I got involved in a few “RPG-by-e-mail” games with some high school friends after moving out of Jersey; not exactly the same thing, but worth mentioning. I played a teensy bit of UO on friends’ accounts, but not enough to really count. EverQuest was the first MMOG I got into pretty hardcore, and that was in no small part because some very good friends of mine were working on the game at the time. Like a lot of others, the very concept of it fascinated me – the communities, the advancement, the unpredictability of a good group, the whole shebang. I honestly can’t say that I have played much EQ since leaving SOE, but I still keep in touch with a bunch of guys over there and follow the continuing development of the game pretty closely.
