One of the most anticipated RPGs (at least for those who had the pleasure to play the first installment) is Gothic 2. EpiGamer now serves us a preview of Piranha Bytes' upcoming sequel, and while it is a short one, it's worth a look. Here's how it ends:
Having trawled the web for information about this game, everything I hear about this game is exciting me to such an extent that I am looking forward to it a lot more than Icewind Dale 2 or even Lionheart (a preview coming soon). I’m hoping for a similar leap that the Baldur’s Gate 2 had over it predecessor, which certainly had its problems. But as always the game may not click. The high powered graphics engine may limit the game away from the mass market despite Piranha Bytes attempts to create lots of tuning knobs. The German accents may put everybody off. Yet despite that, I have a good feeling for this game, both from the huge community that seems to have come from nowhere and because this is the inevitable future of single player adventure/RPGs and the industry needs to kick itself out of the bomb crater that Baldur’s Gate left behind.
