RPGVault has posted the sixth Star Wars: KotOR Developer Diary. Designer Lukas Kristjanson talks about the light and the dark sides in the game:
The path to the light side of the Force in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is strewn with bumps and side roads, and even the destination itself is cloudy. Does that guard get a civil response, or should he be encouraged to show a little more respect? Does the senator really deserve help finding his daughter, and if he does, should the reward he had in mind be nudged a little higher? These are simple things, but they allow the player to get used to making such decisions. The questions get tougher as events and consequences grow more serious. It will have a profound effect on characters, changing how the game world responds to them, and even modifying their physical appearance. Funny how villainy tends to lead to snappy dressing.
