Today, Gamespy has posted a preview of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for XBox. The preview is peppered with screenshots and sums up the game pretty well. Here's an excerpt:
One of the coolest facets of the game is that your character's actions, dialogue choices, and more will determine whether or not he aligns with the light or dark side of the force. There are superficial consequences -- like a dark-side character appearing more fearsome (or is it constipation?) -- as well as larger ramifications. The example BioWare used took place in a culto (the precursor to the curative bacta) plant. One of your obstacles in the plant is an enormous sea beast. Through industrious work and a considerable effort, you can defeat it and remain on the light side. If you have naughtier leanings, you can choose to dump poison in the vents and watch the beast die. However, you'll also be poisoning the environment and trashing valuable culto. Not only does this put you on the dark path, it also has the real-world ramification of increasing the price of med packs in the game. The game's ending will be different depending on what side of the force you end up on.
