Belgisch Gaming Nieuws has conducted an English interview with Rebelmind about their WW II themed action RPG Grom.
Grom isn't all that serious though...The screenshots are a bit cartoon-like, how much will be humour part of the game?
Yes, our artists aimed for a little less typical location and character design. We wanted to make it feel less serious and more adventurous, but it doesn't mean that the game turned into some slapstick comedy. The subject is still quite serious and so are the critical parts of the storyline. I think that our style of humor can be described best as Indiana Jones meets
Clint Eastwood: there's a quite deep subject in the background, some parts of the storyline are funny, some are very serious, and all of that is served with a sharp and witty dialogue in typical Clint's style.
So, the humor is there as a way to tell the story and release the tension, and while there's a lot of funny parts to Grom, the game definitely is not a comedy. |
