The story is deep and has a good amount of surprises. This game also uses ability scores in a brilliant way, every one of them are important in their own way. The amount of dialogue is enormous and masterfully done. The planescape setting was masterfully used in the game and that alone should be enough for a great game. This game is one of the best rpgs I have ever played. Now, wouldn't Torment be a great movie... Ultima 7 - The Black Gate: 10/10 points Ultima 7 was and is a milestone in crpg history. The freedom and the story is what made it so great. Rpgs that came afterwards should have learned from it, but few have. The closest game to ultima7 today would be gothic, but if both games were made today, ultima7 would definitely win. This game is a classic and will be remembered for many years to come.
