Knightshift - or Once Upon a Knight if you live in the US - has been previewed by Gamespy. I generally like my games to be serious but Gamespy seem impressed by this RTS/RPG hybrid with a humorous twist:
As I played through the early version of the game, I found myself pretty impressed by the game's graphics. While not the best I've ever seen in an RTS, they do manage to pack in some very nice details, including ambient, wildlife-like birds wheeling overhead, and leaves waving on trees. The highlight so far, though, has been the game's voices and dialogue. All of the characters deliberately overact in the kind of pseudo-Medieval dialect that would embarrass the worst players at a Renaissance Faire. "Goest thou to the Tower O' Doom and smiteth thy enemies, my Lord!" is just one line that the ever-loyal Floyd delivers in an earnest tone that only makes the dialogue funnier.
