Quickstart Savegames

Thousands of downloads showed us that many of our readers liked the idea to start the game with a neutral character some hours into the game, saving the time needed to do all the newbie quests. With Gothic II around the corner this will be the final update to our quickstart savegame page. We offer you two very different files, one 'conventional' quickstart in which all the intro quests are done and an 'extreme' quickstart where more or less everything that moves has been killed. The 'extreme' quickstart is new.
Here are a few infos. Details can be found in the readme accompanying the respective savegame.

Level 7 Quickstart

  • Character Level 7, 70 skill points avaiable, approximatly 2000 experience from level 8
  • Beat up and killed Mud so he wouldn't annoy me or you any longer.
  • Have 15 STR and 10 DEX and using an Axe found in the Swamp Camp.
  • Have 2640 Ore avaiable for your spending pleasure.
  • Collected the Digger's Dress from Swiney (New Camp).
  • Castle in the Old Camp (except Stone's stash) has not been cleaned out yet.
  • Impressed all three camps to the point where able to join.
    • Old Camp - Leave the list to Diego
    • New Camp - Leave the list to Lares
    • Sect Camp - Talk to Cor Kalom

Extreme Quickstart

  • Level: 18 Skill Points: 149 (4 for hunting skills, 10 for sneaking, 10 for acrobatics, 5 for Dexterity, 2 for Strength)
  • Strength: 22 (minimum for Orc Hammer) with ring
  • Dexterity: 20 (20 is minimum for Longbow) with ring
  • Mana: 5
  • Completed every quest you can get to without joining a camp
  • Almost all of the ground trash (blueberries, raven herbs, etc...) collected
  • Killed and collected experience from every creature that could be reached including Swamp Sharks, a Troll and some Orc Warriors
  • Impressed all three camps to the point where able to join.
    • Old Camp - Leave the list to Diego
    • New Camp - Leave the list to Lares
    • Sect Camp - Talk to Cor Kalom
