Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided is the first massively multiplayer online role-playing game based on the Star Wars franchise and it looks to be a very promising one at that. Star Wars Galaxies will contain nine worlds from Star Wars universe including Naboo, Tatooine and Corellia. The game also boasts eight playable species, all with advanced character customization, along with over 30 professions including merchant, bounty hunter, farmer, creature handler and so many more that it will be nearly impossible to find your long-lost twin in game.

The game comes complete with a new 3D engine specifically for Star Wars Galaxies that will not only make the graphics look great now, but will also allow for the video cards of the future to be used to their full potential. The single most important factor in a Star Wars game is the Rebel versus Imperial battles and there will be plenty of those in Star Wars Galaxies. Players will be able to choose alignment with the Rebels or the Imperials, but will also be able to stay neutral if they see fit. For both the Rebels versus Imperials and the guild versus guild battles, Star Wars Galaxies will create a battlefield that will allow players to fight against their enemies.
