It seems at frist look that is a bit poor, but as history evolves, and you get used to the "attunement" system it gets a decent game. Good if you don't have anything better to play. Bad points: - characters movement is "unusual" / "blocky" - I had some major issues with savegames (you save, game exists, savegame file corrupted) beware...

comment: It crashed to the desktop and was not possible to start again a new game, a very fatal error! The graphics are 2 steps behind, just few original ideas (not fully exploited) like the dream world and the attunement system, a ,perhaps (I haven't finished the game!!!) a good story. I had great expectations for this game so the disappointment is great. You wait for a long time a game, it delays and delays and delays...and at the end it doesn't work (technically). I find no justification for that! The dark period of the C-rpg goes on...!!!

This game is the very definition of average. Not bad, just not good either. Sorry, but I just can't see how the RPGDot reviewer could give it such a high score. I know we RPG fans are not getting served as many great games as we deserve, but that doesn't mean we have to hype average games into being good or even great. If you have no other RPG left to play, give it a try, otherwise I'd rather reccomend picking up a more decent title...

Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition --- The game formerly known as Kult! This is a GREAT game for hardcore RPG fans who like stats and skills. Don't pay attention to any bad reviews! The attunement system used in the game is a brilliant new invention: it (finallly) gives you a reason to actually USE almost every different type of weapon and armor (in order to unlock their attunements). Also the Dreamworld is cool and it gives you a good reason to go over all of the terrain a second time: you must find the hex marks in the dreamworld which greatly aid in advancing your 4 basic skill levels (melee, ranged, magic, speed), and also to kill more (spirit) monsters to gain their essence, which greatly aids in unlocking attunements; also some NPC's appear only in the dreamworld. Great story line and plenty of good side quests and lots of good NPC's. Incidentally, if you play correctly, you can max out at least 3 of the 4 skills by the time you reach the end of the game (I ignored the "ranged" skill). Actually you only need to use two: choose your favorite out of melee, magic, ranged, and also do speed. Also you can easily unlock all of the attunements that go with your playing style (and lots of others also). And you can complete all of the quests (although a few have various outcomes). Now sure there are a few weak points: slow travel: you can't normally run (actually you can with the "fleet of foot" attunement but only while using the Air element), and really long load times (made frustrating when you accidentally move onto a map's exit point - there's no "do you want to exit" choice). And combat is very simple - a mixed blessing! - (but preparing for combat with the right attunements is a worthwhile endeavor). The most annoying thing is the amount of time it takes to move items in and out of your personal inventory (but moving between bags is very fast, so we know they can do it!). Also a few very minor programming glitches (be sure to get the U.S. patch 1.5). But all of this is insignificant in view of the great gameplay. It's an absolute must! Hopefully there will be many (improved) sequels!

story is kinda boaring... i admoit i havn't finished the game, but i got close to the end. just didn't bother to complete. the setting seems interesting and all at the start. but nothing really captures you. anyhow, it got a cheap feeling to it.

neptunian has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from neptunian)

great story and meaningful quests. (for once) graphics nothing special but stylish. great character system. all in all a polished and true RPG.

sealight4 has rated 4/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from sealight4)

Nothing there. I tried but seems uninspired. Technically banal. If you have nothing to play at this time then try it, ironing socks is more satisfying than this game.

Dajjer has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Dajjer)

Fun game and easy to get into. But the way you get around in the game world was lame and the ending was a huge disappointment compared to the way they game was set up.
