Riftrunner takes place on the planet named Nemesis. Nemisis does not only look like a demonic plane with its volcanic rock faces and rivers of glowing lava, but the borders of this world that link it to the demonic planes are much weaker than those in Rivellon, for example.

Nemisis once belonged to the Raanaar, the indigenous population of the land, and for many years, these brave warriors faced down the threat of the invading hell spawn.
