GameSpot: RPG Editorials

GameSpot continues its GameSpotting series today, where GameSpot's editors give us an insight into their more or less reasonable thoughts on PC gaming and the state of the industry.

Some of it is RPG related, e.g.:

  • "I refuse to believe that console RPGs need to be mired in conformity like they are." - Joe Fielder (Site Director)

  • "One thing most every MMORPG now in development has in common is that it will be an utter commercial failure." - Greg Kasavin (Executive Editor)

  • "To paraphrase what a friend of mine said to me at the convention, 'As long as a bunch of nerds are willing to get together to play D&D, Gen Con isn't going anywhere [other than to Indianapolis in 2003].'" - Andrew Park (Managing Editor)

  • "...tying up enemies in order to take them prisoner seem like obvious actions to take in certain situations, but they prove to be too complex for most computer role-playing games." - Trey Walker (News Editor)
