Just wanted to put you in the know of a stoy about Morrowind's level designer GT Noonan, who reportedly had an accident and was injured. Here's something he posted about his condition on the official Morrowind boards:
Given I sleep little now, due to pain, I thought I would browse on by and check out the boards. I thank everyone who sends their best wishes. I love you all and you are the greatest fans anyone could ever hope for. We are surely some of the luckiest devs to have you all aboard.
Recovery thus far has been extremely difficult. It will supposedly get worse. My foot, which is still wrapped up in a 1/2 hard cast and layers upon layers of gauze and ace bandages, is a throbbing nightmare that is 3 times the size of my other foot. I handle pain rather well thank goodness. I am still trying to get used to using crutches, which is a small battle of its own. Stairs are a REAL pain. I try to stay in bed though, since ANY type of shock to my foot at all can be VERY bad. Keeping it elevated is my number oe priority right now. Minimizing bloodflow through it is most important to keep the swelling down so I can get into surgery as soon a s possible. Hopefully, that happens very soon. I am told it may take 2-4 surguries to get it right. And I have also been told that I should NOT expect everything to go perfect. There are major ptoblems with my little toe right now as far as bloodflow and nerve damage, so, we know what happens if that cannot be remedied. The same goes for any other part of the foot that does not show improvement. We shall see though. I remain very confident and have heard great things about my surgeon. Hopefully, he has good news for me tomorrow.
Take care and I'll keep in touch.
We wish GT Noonan all the best in recovering. GT is a friend for this site from its very beginnings, back when this was a little page for a fan project that tried to rebuild the Daggerfall spirit with our own engine - and back then, we were the first site to get an interview about the newly announced Morrowind project from him. Keep your head up, GT! |
