|Games Domain has posted a preview of Artifact Entertainment's/Atari's fantasy MMORPG 'Horizons' which is finally rapidly nearing completion after a long odyssey.
Here's a clip:
Combat itself was handled in a similar way to other MMORPGs. After targeting an unsuspecting low-level maggot, your character auto-attacks with their equipped weapon until told otherwise. As you might expect, we made fairly short work of the monsters that were available around the training grounds, so Bowman was kind enough to spawn something a little more challenging, a giant frog-beast called a Ruxus. It proved more aggressive than the maggots, and hopped off to take some froggy bites out of one of our party. More powerful, class-specific combat skills can be used in combat, by assigning them to hotkeys or dragging them to shortcut bars, much like in Star Wars Galaxies.
