Thanks to Corax from EDBIS for letting us know that they have posted a review of Ion Storm's 'Deus Ex' sequel rating the game at 84%.
There are some neat weapons in this future world. They're easy to control - just point the mouse at your target and click the left button to shoot. Strangely, they all use exactly the same ammo. Weapons that do more damage use up more ammunition from the pool; but bullets (or rockets - they're made of the same amorphous stuff) are easy to come by. You can upgrade each weapon with mods, such as silencers and attachments that increase refire rate. Once you start finding these mods, guns get a lot more fun to use and much more deadly. There are also some hand-to-hand weapons in the game, but they're rather pointless. All your dangerous enemies carry ranged weapons, so they'll nail you before you can get close. Melee weapons could allow you to knock someone out - if they worked. However, even a stun prod won't stun someone until you hit them a whole bunch, by which time you're either dead or close to it. Grenades are much more useful, and almost ludicrously plentiful; but you can't carry many at a time, so they're not overpowered.
