This turn-based RPG featured some new twists in its time but has aged poorly and even then was somewhat cumbersome in many ways (eg. item allocation). |

I loved this game back when it came out, it was one of the first rpgs i ever played. I suppose it was mainly hack and slash, didn't have much role-playing involved, but it was fun at the time. |

for its time it was a bit differect than other RPGs. it did not rely on fancy 3D or a cumbersome object world like ultima. the sotry was rather cool with lots and lots of places to visit. it's combat system was unique for it's time and some of puzzles were maddening. the graphics sucked in some places and in someplaces i thought "aww right!" - but it is a game i played over and over and over (as well as part II and III) so an 8 it gets - a special place in my CRPG history |

The first RPG I ever played on a PC (or better said, the Commodore 64 version and then the superior Atari ST version). I hope to one day get a hold of an ST and this game again just for the memory of it, though I know it would be very dated now. It's also the only game I have played so far that has let me have a Minotaur as one of my party. |
